Discover how the Alexander Technique & Body Mapping can improve your experience of making and teaching music

In this free preview class you'll get a taste of the kind of learning that happens in the upcoming course Body Freedom for Musicians: An Introduction to the Alexander Technique & Body Mapping.

The class will take place live on Zoom on Thursday, November 7th @ 11am-12pm central/12pm-1pm eastern and will be taught by MBMS director Peter Jacobson.

Here’s what we'll be exploring together in the session:

• Peter will work with 2-3 volunteers in front of the class to demonstrate the course concepts in action
• 5 things every musicians needs to know about their body
• A guided tour of the course curriculum and how it will impact your music-making (and music teaching if you're a music educator) 
• The importance of constructive planning and thinking in music-making (you'll leave with your very own "Yes" Plan)
• Course details (dates/times, course fees, etc.)
